Ampenan is near Mataram and Cakra and only 7 kilometers away from Senggigi. Far enough away from the tourism centre to give a through sense of Indonesian live these days but close enough to enjoy all the amenities of the tourist resort. Across the road,a 900 meter walk is the beach full with traditional fishcraft who sail out at night or enjoy the sunset across the Lombok Strait.
